White Icing...

I must bake a birthday cake....101 dalmation....but I want to know how to make white icing for the dog...and the black icing for the spots....the butter makes it a yellowish colour and I don't want that....can you please help me???

Also, don't forget to use CLEAR flavoring in your icing.
If your vanilla is brown, your icing will not be perfectly white.

If I am going to do this cake. I will frost it will whipping cream instead of buttercream as it taste better and it is white too. Whereby the black dots I will use dark melted chocolate instead of adding lots of coloring. Happy Baking

HI, IF YOU USE CRISCO SHORTENING OR A GOOD BRAND OF VEGETABLE SHORTENING, REPLACE THAT INSTEAD OF THE BUTTER AND IT WILL BE JUST WHITE. GOOD LUCK, NANCY OF CA

when you make your icing use shortening--I still add a little bit of butter too, but not as much. Honestly I think the shortening gives it a better flavor anyway and smoother colors.
