The Little Mermaid Cake

This Little Mermaid cake is fun and challenging to create This cake uses fresh cream only. I have baked 2 cakes, one a 10" square and the other an 8" round. Then I trimmed the round cake to the shape of a shell. The scraps I join to make a 3D body for the mermaid. Then I frost the cake.
The sea shell and fish are made of white and dark chocolate. The big shell that opens up is made of styrofoam covered with stars. I speared it with toothpicks and stick it into the round cake.
