Tea for Two Cake

(Rialto, CA)
I made fondant first and then my flowers and cup and saucer and mini crackers. The crackers I cut around with a seam cutter and poked holes with a toothpick. Make different colors for daisies and the spout and handle. I found paper plates and napkins at the 99 cent store and did the tea pot in the same flowers and colors.
I then baked the cake in a wonder doll pan, one lemon cake mix. I used a small pyrex custard cup and put a little batter in it for the lid. I cut the large cake in half and filled with lemon pie filling that I cooked and cooled.
Made my butter cream and frosted the lid and large cake before putting the fondant on them. I first did the custard cup and did the fondant when the butter cream was dry.
Then I did the large cake with butter cream and then the fondant on it. I put the lid on the cake with butter cream. I had just bought a silicone bead maker that I was dying to try.
I made fondant beads so they were still soft to put around the lid and the bottom of the cake. I then put flowers on to match the pattern of the napkins and plates that I had purchased.
I put the dry handle and spout on with vodka and held in place with a couple of toothpicks. the cake was finished and I went over it with pearl luster dust to give it a nice glow.!!! Nancy of Rialto CA
