Star Spangled Cake
This star spangled cake was 3 tiers. The bottom was chocolate with mint buttercream filling and the middle and top were apple spice cake with caramel buttercream all covered in vanilla buttercream.
I cut out several stars from fondant in red and blue and put them on after the cake was assembled.
I also made fondant rockets that were put on top once it made it to the party. They were cylinders with cone shapes on top and have a small skewer in them. Some I painted so they would look more festive. Unfortunately, I did not deliver the cake so I didn't get to take a final photo.
