Potted Cactus Flower Cake

This potted cactus flower cake I was practicing with. I want to do one for my cousin's birthday. She has great memories of a cactus plant that was given to her from my Dad, just before he passed away. I was trying to copy the plant and pot. I used a 2 1/2 Pyrex bowl and used one cake mix.
I poured most of it in the bowl to bake and the rest into a 10 oz and 6 oz Pyrex custard bowl.
I baked them all and covered them all with fondant. Green for the cactus and terra cotta for for the pot.
I made some flowers with gum paste and with Kelly's help, bought some gummy worms for the top. Thank you, Kelly.
I bought some chocolate cookies and rolled them out with a rolling pin in a large plastic bag. I use that for the dirt on top of the pot.
I think now I have an idea how to do her birthday cake in July...Does anyone know if you can foil a real terra cotta pot and bake in it? Let me know...Thank you, Nancy of Rialto, CA
