Pool Table Cake With Fondant
by Mildred Delgado
(Milledgeville, GA)
This pool table cake is a yellow sourcream cake. I used a sheet cake size pan and I covered with buttercream. Let is stay for about 2 hours in fridge, then I covered with leaf green color fondant.
For the sides, I covered with brown fondant.
To make the top, I used a big Hershey's chocolate bar, I cut it in four long pieces, get two long pieces and covered with fondant for the longest sides and measured and cut the exact amount of chocolate, covered with fondant and put them in place for the shorter sides.
I ensured to make a rectangle and covered the entire outline of the top of the cake. Then I used a spoon and spooned out some cakes in the corners and in the middle to make the pockets.
I used gum balls of a machine as pool balls for the sticks, I cut a dowel and painted with icing color.
