Picture Perfect Cake

I made this cake for my 21st birthday and I wanted it to look like a picture frame. So first I ordered an edible picture of myself off the internet. I made a white full size sheet cake the night before and the next day I leveled the cake and frosted the whole cake in white butter cream icing.
I sprinkled on some silver dust on top of the cake to make the cake shimmer. I than placed my edible picture in the center of the cake and let it settle in.
While it was settling in I rolled out my white marshmallow fondant (which I had made the night before using marshmallows and powdered sugar) and cut out four strips and imprinted them with “happy Birthday” and balloons with a fondant imprint mat than slightly spray misted each piece with violet mist color.
I than took cookie cutters and cut out two sets of 21 and cut them to where the 2 and the 1 interconnected with one another and sprayed one set with violet mist and the other set I brushed on the silver dust.
Then I cut out three squares and using imprint letters, I imprinted my initials “RER” on them and then I cut out a fourth square and left it plain and slightly sprayed misted each piece with violet.
By then the picture had settled so I place the four strips of marshmallow fondant around the picture and mitered the edges so that they would connect with each other and added my initial blocks to three of the corners and added the plain block on the fourth corner, so that it would look like a matting you see in pictures.
I than took stencil italicized letters and imprinted “Happy” above the picture frame and then imprinted italicized “Birthday” below the picture frame and traced the letters with white butter cream icing.
After that I slightly spray misted the entire cake sides included with violet. I than added the violet set of 21 slightly in one of the corners of the cake than added the silver dusted set diagonally to the violet set in the opposite corner.
I piped on drop flowers in the remaining two corners and slightly spray misted them with violet also.
I then finished the cake with a white slightly wavy butter cream icing boarder on the top and the bottom. I enjoyed working on this cake.
