Lemon Baby Shower Cake

Baby Shower Cake

This baby shower cake was a lemon sponge cake, covered with a lemon flavored buttercream and then covered with plastic icing. I used a square pan to bake the body and then cut the shape. I used 2 ball pans for the breast, and a round bowl for the tummy.

I covered the body in ivory colored plastic icing. The marbled dress I created by mixing pink and white plastic icing.

Hi plastic icing is like a play dough, and it is made out of sugar. Its the same icing you use to cover wedding cakes.
