Jeff Dunham Peanut Cake
by Tina
(Pennsylvania, USA)
This Jeff Dunham Peanut cake was made for my son's 11th birthday. I used a family chocolate cake recipe for this particular cake, although I believe any cake will work.
The cake pan is an 11x15 pan, and I made the cake according to recipe. I did have to double the recipe, to make sure it was tall enough.
As for the image, I started off with a crumb coat of butter cream icing. Once that what was set(slightly dried), I applied a regular coat of butter cream.
Next, I found a picture of Peanut online, and printed the image on a 8x11 sheet of tracing paper. I did set my ink level on my printer to max, so I could get the extra ink.
Once the page was printed out, I immediately placed it gently on the cake, while the ink was still wet. The image was transferred to the cake and gave me a rough outline of Peanut.
I used Wilton butter cream icing.
I used Wilton violet coloring for the face and tummy area with a number 16 star tip.
For the body I used a 16 star tip with the white icing.
For the hair I used tip number 133 (grass) tip, for the eyes I used a number 3 tip and kelly green icing coloring to get desired shade.
I used a number 3 tip with black icing to outline face, body, and eyes.
For the border I used leftover purple and green icing with a number 21 tip.
For the mouth I used a number 3 tip with rose icing coloring.
All my colors are Wilton colors.
