How to Make a Deer Cake

Okay my friends birthday is tomorrow and he loves to hunt I want to make a cake shaped like a deer head but I don't have many things to do it, so is there any simple way of making a deer shaped head cake?

Deer Head

If you have a deer head that you can look at.. You can make a three or four layer cake and then carve the shape out using a knife to make a three deminsional deer head type cake. It depends on your confidence level in your own abilities.

If you don't have a shaped pan then make your own shape like was already suggested.

Or make a sheet cake and go online and find a coloring book page of a deer then use that.
You can do a chocolate transfer onto the cake.
That way you don't lose any cake, you use all of it. You can add a background of wavy lines or 'snow' or trees or whatever you can imagine.

Deer head.....

Best thing to do is draw and cut it out. I use icing when I have to do something like this, but anyway trace around the edges and use a knife to cut it out. Make sure when you go to icing the antlers to use a flat tip(unless you are doing stars or whatever) to put your layer of icing on the antlers(at least) so you do not break them.
