I've been asked to make the head of a fender bass guitar for a 21st birthday. how do I go about making the guitar strings look real?

Flower wire

I have just purchased some 21gauge gold wires which are used in flower arranging and cake decorating. I want them for piano wires but they would work equally as well for guitar strings. you can get them from most cake decorating/flower shops or ebay. I paid £1.85

I know youve probably made the cake by now but for future reference ??? i have to make a gutiar cake for an 18th and while wandering in spotlight i found a pack of 450mm craft wire there are 30 pieces about 60cm long and they were in the flowermaking section. cheers.

I HAVE HEARD OF A FEW THINGS TO USE. FISHING STRING, DENTAL FLOSS, AND ANGELHAIR SPAGHETTI, IT CAN BE PAINTED WITH FOOD COLORING. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. GOOD LUCK
