Golden 50th Anniversary Cake

This golden 50th anniversary cake I made from batches of red velvet cake recipe. I buttercreamed for the crumb coating. After it was dry I put more butter cream on it. The filling was cream cheese filling. I used 12, 10, and 6 inch round pans.
I made a few flowers out of gumpaste and leaves. I tinted the leaves with gold luster dust and pearl on the flowers. This was my first three tiered cake and it was a little scary to do. But, with the help of some of my net friends, I got through it.
I put a few scrolls around and cornelli lace on the tier #2. I had some old ribbon that I used and clipped it with a toothpick in the back. I took it to the party in three and when I got there, put it together and put the shell border on when I was there. What a stress, now I feel so much better that I did it the first time.
