Easy instructions for making this flag cake:Bake a sheet cake the size that you need. With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw a flag on the cake making sure you have 13 stripes and your rectangle for the stars.
Make a blue colored icing and using star tip, size #18, fill in the blue rectangle for the stars.
Make a red colored icing and use star tip, size #18 to
cover all seven red stripes making sure you start and end with a red
stripe.
Use white icing and the same size star tip, #18 and fill in the six
white stripes.

Using the same white icing and star tip, size #18, you will make five rows of stars with the rows spaced evenly in the blue rectangle. There will be six stars in each of these rows.
Next, make four rows of stars placing a row between each of the previous five rows. There will be five stars in these rows. This equals fifty stars.
