This baby shower cake has 2 tiers; the bottom one is 10 and the upper one is 8 inches. It has cream cheese filling. I made the ducklings with a cookie cutter using fondant already colored. I did the final touches to the duckling pressing, forming, and coloring the beak and eyes.
In order to create the buttercream blue aqua color. I totally iced the cake with soft royal blue color. I let it form the crust and then I heated water and using a spatula with water (not dry) it created strikes and different shades of blue color all over.
For the bottom I created some "waves" using very dark royal blue color. I dressed this baby up using a fluted bowl separator stuffed with real mini size baby products, hand lotion, powder, etc. and ribbon for dramatic effect.
I also used a lighted revolving base for the top with a good size duckling dressed with tied ribbons on top.
you did a wonderful job on the cake it looks very good.
