Make a Dora Birthday Cake
Easy directions for making a Dora birthday cake:Bake a sheet cake the size that you need.
Ice the sheet cake in white icing using a cake spatula. Smooth the icing out. Let it set at least 20 minutes.
Next, with food color spray (sometimes called color mist) spray the bottom portion of the cake for your background. Let that dry.
You can use the icing filled bag and round tip, size #5 and draw Dora and Boots on the top of the cake or you can use the parchment paper transfer method found in our Birthday Cake Design Tips and Techniques.
You will use star tip, size #14 to do all the fill in
work.
Dora’s eyes are black and white with a highlight dot in white on the black pupil. Next, fill in her mouth with red icing.
Now make a tan color icing for her skin and fill in all her skin areas (face, arms, tummy and legs),

Next, fill in the piñata using dark blue, yellow, red, pink, light blue and brown icing.

Make extra lines for the confetti. Make lines and dots with red, yellow, green and blue icing using the star tip.
With white icing and star tip, size #32, make a shell border on the top and bottom edges of the cake.
