Christening Cake With Baby's Picture
Easy directions for making this christening cake:Bake a sheet cake the size that you need.
Ice the cake with white buttercream icing using a cake spatula and making sure the surface is smooth.
Let it set about 15 to 20 minutes.

Mark off 1 1/2 inches on a half sheet cake or 2 1/2 inches on a full sheet cake.
With white icing and round tip, size #5, do lace work on the sides and top border frame you just marked off.
Change your tip to the star tip, size #18 and make a shell border along the inside and outside edge of the lace work border and the bottom edge of the sides of the cake.
Use a basket weave tip to do the cross and star tip #32 putting three large dots on the ends of the cross.
Now sprinkle white edible glitter all over the cross. I laminated a photograph of my granddaughter and placed it in the bottom corner inserting it under the icing border.
Use a large rose tip, size #125 and make and place three roses for the top left hand corner.
Make and place another rose in the bottom right hand corner. Make green icing and use leaf tip, size #352 to make leaves around the roses.
Change your tip to round tip, size #4 or 5 and write your message on the cake top.
