Race Car Cake

For this race car cake, I used the 3-D cruiser pan. It takes about 1 and 1/2 prepared cake mixes. With the left over mix I made cupcakes.

This cake has to be baked longer than a regular cake.

I used buttercream and smoothed it with a Viva towel.

I used gum drops for the headlights and tail lights. And colored Twizzlers for the bumpers.

I tried to make it look like lightning bolts around the numbers on the doors.

And yes, I spelled chauffeur wrong on the car. Each cake is a learning experience!

My uncle has been 29 since he was actually 29 so this is what all his cakes have on them for his age. lol
