Carousel Cake

I made this carousel cake for my son's first birthday. I used a bundt cake pan for the bottom part. I iced it and covered it in sprinkles.

Then I used gum drops and animal crackers for the base. I put some icing on the back of the cracker and then pushed it into the cake.

I placed straws for the rails on the carousel and I iced the back of 2 animal crackers and stuck them onto the straw.

For the top I just cut it out of wrapping paper and decorated it. Simple and very cute.

Best cake ever

I made this for my daughter when she was 5yrs old she will be 17yrs old next week and ask me to made this cake again.She said that was her favorite cake ever.

GREAT IDEA

THAT WAS SUCH A GREAT IDEA, I COULD HARDLY WAIT TO OPEN THIS ONE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO THINK OF HOW TO MAKE A CAKE LIKE THAT. THAT IS VERY CUTE!

My mom made me a carousel cake for my 6th birthday......I'm 42 now....just a few years back...lol

I wouldn't have thought of a bundt cake, very clever!
