Poodle Skirt Cake

I made this poodle skirt cake for my daughter's 10th birthday, we had a 50's theme party and even dressed up!
I baked two 9"x11" cakes. I froze them for about 2 hours so carving would create less crumbs.
I carved the skirt and the top and placed each piece together with buttercream icing to hold them.
I then iced the top white with a little skin colored icing where the check out show through the shirt and the skirt I iced with pink buttercream.
I rolled out some pink fondant 1/4" thick and laid over the skirt part of the cake. Cut around edges with a fondant cutter and smooth.
I then rolled out white fondant 1/4"thick and laid over the top. Cut around edges and I used a small pair of cuticle scissors to cut out the neck to let the skin color show through.
I took a small piece of white fondant and folded it in half and laid around the neck to form the collar.
I rolled out some black fondant, and cut our a flower. I also cut a 1" thick strip and placed it between the skirt and shirt for the belt. Place the flower on the belt. I used 3 silver dragees on the flower to make it a buckle.
I printed off a poodle pattern. Lay the pattern on the black fondant and use a craft knife to cut out the poodle and lay on the skirt.Use a silver dragee for the eye I used black buttercream for the leash.
I used pink buttercream for the "M" symbol on the chest for my daughter's initial.
