How to Cut a Cake
To cut a round cake, you will move in two inches from the outside edge and cut a circle.Then slice wedge pieces from within the circle about two inches wide.
Next, move in another two inches and cut another circle, then cut wedge pieces withing the circle about two inches wide.
Repeat these steps until the cake is cut completly.
Refer to the diagram below for assistance.
NOTE: Six inch round cakes should be cut in wedge pieces without a
center circle.
The chart below tells you approximately how many pieces you will get from each size:

Cutting Sheet Cakes
To cut a sheet cake or a square cake, you will move in two inches from the outside edge of the cake and cut across.Then slice pieces of the cake about two or three inches wide. Next, move in another two inches and cut another strip.
Slice your pieces two or three inches wide.
Repeat until the entire cake is cut completely.
